The Fight for Affordable Health Insurance Continues |
|
|
I consider myself an expert in the area of health care because I have
been working on the battle for affordable health insurance for several
years. Allow me to tell you how things stand in the fight for
affordable health care. It’s obvious that it can be very hard to find
access to affordable health insurance. You will have to pay a lot more
for healthcare than you should unless you are a civil servant.
A lot of people across the country are trapped in dead end jobs because they want to keep their affordable health insurance. They have to endure doing unsatisfying work, or not advancing their careers so that they will not lose their health coverage.
The US has failed to provide affordable health care to many its citizens despite being the richest country in the world. Most of the poor citizens are chronically sick and struggling with their medical expenses because they do not have affordable health insurance and good nutrition. They are unable to pay their bills and so they are always suffering under the crushing weight of poverty.
Many reformists who are actually industry flunkies claim that a little reform is all that is needed to insure affordable health insurance. However, anyone who has actually been on the front lines will tell you that a little reform will not solve the problem. The best route to affordable health insurance is obvious, and has been obvious for a long time. It is clear that we just can not go on without having single payer health insurance any more.
All citizens of the country will be guaranteed affordable healthcare that will be paid through their taxes with single payer health care. Some people will argue that it can be expensive to add a new service. However, it will be much cheaper than paying private, for-profit industries to insure us. Single payer health insurance is the natural solution to the affordable health insurance problems that we all face today.
